Advice for Travellers

All travellers to endemic regions are potentially at risk of chikungunya and should be aware of this infection. Aedes mosquitoes are particularly persistent and aggressive. They bite between dawn and dusk.

Travellers who develop a fever during travel, or once they return home are advised to seek medical advice as soon as possible and mention their travel history.
