Ecuador - updated yellow fever vaccination certificate requirements

05 May 2025

The Ministry of Health in Ecuador have recently published (in Spanish) an update to their yellow fever vaccination certificate (ICVP) requirements for travellers, which will become effective on 12 May 2025. In addition to the existing requirements, an ICVP will be required on arrival in Ecuador for:

  • Travellers of Peruvian, Colombian, Bolivian and Brazilian nationality or residence
  • Travellers who have spent more than 10 days in Peru, Colombia, Bolivia or Brazil prior to entering Ecuador

The vaccine must have been received at least 10 days before travel.

The country requirement text in the yellow fever section of the Ecuador country page has been updated to reflect this information.
