Portugal Specific Risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

21 August 2020

Following a review of the public health risk assessment process, this country has now changed from a high risk to a moderate risk of exposure to COVID-19.

While case numbers have been decreasing, there has been a recent small increase in case numbers in most regions. Rates of infection are higher in Lisbon, Porto and North, and Alenjo regions, and relatively lower in the Azores and Madeira. This is being closely monitored.

  • Please check the TRAVAX Portugal page regularly for updates on any changes to the risk of exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19).
