The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing has amended the yellow fever vaccination certificate requirements as reported to WHO. Australia no longer includes Sao Tome and Principe, Somalia and the United Republic of Tanzania as countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
The 2012, Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate Requirements for Australia now read:
'A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all travellers over 1 year of age entering Australia within 6 days of having stayed overnight or longer in a country with risk of yellow fever transmission, excluding Galapagos islands and limited to Misiones province in Argentina.'
