Management of the Febrile Traveller Webinar

On 7 October 2014, NHS Education for Scotland hosted a webinar (web-based seminar) on Management of the Febrile Traveller which was presented by Dr Alisdair MacConnachie, Consultant Physician, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

The learning outcomes of the presentation are to:

  • Understand the common causes of fever in returning travellers.
  • Appropriately investigate and manage febrile travellers.
  • Risk assess travellers of Viral Haemorrhagic Fever and ensure appropriate care of high risk patients.

The webinar uses case histories to illustrate the common travel associated causes of fever in travellers with particular attention to Viral Haemorrhagic Fever risk assessment.
